A Day in the Life

Well, here it is, folks. As promised. A day in the life of Carson :: Saturday, February 20, 2010. Thanks to Tales of an Unlikely Mother for suggesting we all do this...I never would have thought of it, but now I plan to do one every few months. :) We had a fun and busy day...busier than normal in fact. So many pics to choose from. You can see all of our pics on my facebook page if we're friends, but here are the highlights.

This is how my sweet man greets me each morning, jumping up and down in his crib and laughing. I love my little alarm clock.

Breakfast time! He usually eats a banana and some cheerios.

After breakfast, we play for a good hour. Here, he's wedged himself and gotten stuck in the middle of his toys.

Waking up from his first nap that lasts about an hour and a half to two hours. Such a happy camper.

On this very special day in the life, my little man took his first steps!!! With his birthday just one week away, I expect him to be all over the place in time for his party. I couldn't get a really good picture of it, because as long as the camera was out, he wanted to play with it instead of practice his new skill.

After his second nap, we run our errands and get out of the house for fun. Today we went to Mardi Gras! We reveled in the delicious weather and had a great time with family. More pics of this on facebook.

Mommy and Carson at the boom boom!! (I also learned this day that only certain types of people call it "the boom boom"...it makes me smile that I'm one of these people. :)

After MG, since we were already in town, we decided to pop in for a visit with MeMe and Big Daddy. MeMe had a fun and mesmerizing toy for Carson.

Big Daddy was outside working on the fence. So Carson learned to fix a fence, in case anyone needs a fence-fixer in the near future. ;)

This is Carson's favorite part of visiting MeMe and Big Daddy :: Big Daddy always gives sugary treats (against mommy's will, in most cases, lol). Carson is trying pineapple sherbert for the first time here.

Headed home to see daddy.

DADDY'S HOME!!! YAY!!!!

Once daddy got home, we decided to visit Gran and Grandpa for dinner. It was such a blessing because I had no groceries whatsoever in the house! Carson's starting to get sleepy cause it's already past his bedtime at this point.

Eating dinner at Gran's. She had some perfectly ripe and delicious avacado for Carson to enjoy. He ate every bite.

And then he rocked in his chair. (And walked around every piece of furniture in their living room.)

Then it was bathtime...Carson usually LOVES bathtime. But not tonight. Maybe it was because he was in a strange tub. Maybe it was because the strange tub didn't have his Cars mat and the faucet was on the wrong side and the ducky wasn't on the faucet. Maybe it was because he didn't have his toys to play with.  Maybe it was because it was WAY past his bedtime. Whatever it was, he hated every second of it. I doubt he really got clean that night. Oh well...

Once he got out, he was okay. Still not happy, but okay. Love this little pouty face.

Putting his jam-jams on. The camera was entertaining him.

I wish this pic didn't focus on the wallpaper. But, what can ya do?

I sincerely hope you've enjoyed this little gem of a day as much as I did. Sweet Carson, you may never ever know or comprehend just how much your mommy loves you, but sometimes it physically hurts to think about it. You are so precious and special to me, and I pray I always show that to you. Mommy loves you!

  3. Yes, ladies, this was so much fun! I forgot some pictures, like lunch and travel pics and things I did and sleeping pics, but it was fun taking the ones I did. :)

Heather, I am still cleaning and it's working wonderfully for me. The thing the schedule really does for me is keep me on track with what needs to be done. I may not always mop on Monday, but it gets done once a week. Make sense? I try to spend time with Marc on his off days instead of clean, so that means I usually push the cleaning to his work days. But that works for us :)

  4. What a fun day! It looks like Carson is only a few months older than my baby! I love watching babies move through their little steps to growing up. I saw you on Tales of an Unlikely Mother--you have a great blog!
